safeRclean™ is an OH&S safety induction course which covers the basic skills in a cleaner’s role and includes the latest competency standards. safeRclean™ was developed in response to a need within the cleaning industry for a minimum standard of knowledge for those working in a high risk environment.

Designed to assist employers to implement and improve safe work practices while meeting OH&S obligations, the successful implementation of the program will contribute to improve the skills of the industry as a whole.
The training is delivered in a 3 hour session and each student who successfully completes the course, receives a safeRclean™ identification card as proof of completing the course. Their details are also recorded in the safeRclean™ database for future reference. The safeRclean™ qualification is portable and should be renewed every two years.
With environmental issues high on our agenda, Lennox Institute has launched greenRclean™, a program that is designed to assist cleaning organisations develop meaningful environmental policies, train at all levels, assess the status of worksites, manage change processes, implement environmental policies and monitor program success.

We have collaborated with industry specialist, Bridget Gardner from Fresh Green Clean, to develop greenRclean™ training programs which are user friendly and can be applied easily to current work environments. As such, the program and content have been developed to address the increased demand by Facilities Managers to demonstrate a commitment to green cleaning.
The program supports Green Cleaning as it relates to safe, sustainable and effective practices in the work place and includes training and support for cleaners as well as managers. The program also provides Green Cleaning Consultation Services to organisations that already employ environmentally friendly processes, but would like to further refine their approach.

Leading employers take their duty of care obligations seriously and encourage improved communication, vigilance and increased awareness to reduce the risk of potential violence and aggression towards their employees in the workplace.

Worksites vary from remote to CBD locations, multi building sites, small to large numbers of staff, many or few to no occupants, night shift workers, workers who may operating alone, to teams working together. Because of this diversity it is essential that all employees are made aware of the potential dangers they may face and discuss ways that they could handle a violent situation should they find themselves in this unfortunate position.
Although primarily covering violence involving outside intruders it is also relevant for internal violent situations.
All workers are responsible to follow safe work practices. Lennox Institute has developed a program to assist employers to work towards a maintaining a workplace that is free from threats, harassment, intimidation or physical violence.
Discussions at the training session include how to identify and control hazards, measures to prevent foreseeable risks and the implementation of safe work procedures.
Other topics include Precautions when Travelling to and from Work, Work Cover guidelines and Survival Rules for Robbery or Violent Incidents.

This training course was developed in partnership with ‘Bug Control’ to assist employers to meet their duty of care by minimising the risk of infection resulting from work related exposure to HIV and other blood borne pathogens. The course includes the delivery of HLTIN301A ‘Comply with infection control policies and procedures in health work’. Practical guidance is provided on the identification, assessment and control of OHS risks associated with potential exposure to blood or body fluids during a cleanup operation.
Topics covered include Responsibilities for Infection Control, Transmission and Prevention of Infection, Hand Hygiene, PPE, Cleaning and Disinfection, Sharps and Waste.

Occupational Health & Safety
At Lennox, we provide workplace, or occupational training. In doing this we emphasise the safety aspects of the task in all of our training. Often it is impossible to separate the task from the safety considerations. Therefore, we often recommend to clients that they undertake a re-training of staff
to re-learn work tasks so that they can be performed better and safer.
